Happy Eat What You Want Day!!
I enjoy this holiday very much :)
Chocolate is so good. I just can't even properly describe the love
and other gushy feelings that chocolate brings. I have reached a level
of Chocozen that most mortals can only dream of approaching. Young one,
if you seek this great gift, close your eyes, inhale, think deeply of
the mindset you desire, then go buy some chocolate. Only then will you
become a Chocozen master such as myself.
I only have one show left for Centerstage! Mwah, I wish we could have 50 more. I have come to love the cast so much, and I feel so comfortable with them. I'm going to miss my seniors like crazy, and I just hope that they are successful in these next few years! That period after high school is so delicate - it can often determine the rest of your life.
Good luck to you all!
Yesterday after the show we went to Becca's house for pasta and a pool party. The food was delicious, the pool was heated, but it was 51º!!!! Afterwards a few of us huddled together in Becca's shower trying to get warm. Fun times.
Here is a quick recap of the other show nights because if I don't write 'em down somewhere, I will never remember they happened:
Friday the 4th: went to IHOP and had a sweet waitress who never once looked annoyed. The food was delicious, and I think I got some kids platter - I don't remember the exact one, but it was delish.
Saturday the 5th: went to Applebee's for half-apps. The waiters were more impatient than the previous night, but it was Cinco de Mayo and we were a huge group. I got some quesadilla thing-a-ma-jig, and it was very yummy. Unfortunately, I only had six dollars and Erin thought that because we were so huge, the half-apps wouldn't apply and we would need to pay full price. Thankfully, when we got the bill everything was half off so I didn't need to scrounge for some extra change.
Both nights I left earlier than most people, but it was fine. I would almost rather that than to awkwardly be the last one waiting for a ride.
Tonight there will be an after party thrown by the boosters: either in the cafeteria or the choir room. If it is anything like the Musical's after party, it will involve a few snacks, some gifts for the directors, and people wrestling over which song to play. Actually, it was very fun, but towards the end when everyone is preparing to go home, our goodbyes never feel complete. It's okay. We can still see each other in school.
One thing I love about our theatre program is the sense of family we build. Every night before the show we have a focus circle. I cannot even properly describe it, but it just builds us up and brings us together every time. I have a feeling that tonight a few of us might need to reapply our makeup, the crying might get so bad.
So what is your favorite song? Does it make you want to dance, or is just a song that brings memories? Does it make your soul cry, or does it make you laugh? Music is just so amazing. I love the power it has, it's ability to create and manipulate. You can see this power, can't you?
I realize that a lot of my posts recently have focused around power. I am not ambitious or anything, I just like to observe the impact that "simple" things have on the world. We are so interconnected that every change can influence our lives directly.

I absolutely LOVE rain. It is the most entertaining, most beautiful ish ever. I love big "scary" thunderstorms, playing when it is pouring outside, and I love lightning. It is just so amazing.
Here ya go.
You're welcome.
xoxo,
McCall
